Michelle Kirby

Michelle Kirby graduated form Taegu High School, in Taegu, Korea. While in Korea she studied voice and piano with professional performers. She was chosen to play saxophone in the area region band in Okinawa. She also taught piano lessons, choirs, and music for theatre musicals. She graduated from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas, with a Music Education Degree, with a major in Piano and a minor in Voice. While in her college years she took a semester to tour as a key board player with the Continental Singers throughout the USA, Thailand, and South Korea. After graduating, Michelle taught elementary music at Rayburn Elementary School in Grand Prairie and Choir/Show Choir at Wayside Middle School in Saginaw. She has led children’s, youth, and adult choirs throughout the years at church and with home school groups. She has taught piano lessons for the past 25 years. Her choirs and piano students have won many competitions and recognitions throughout her years of teaching. She is now involved as a Praise and Worship leader at her church as vocal leader, horn section leader, singer, and keyboard player when needed. Michelle’s husband of 20 years, Darrin, works as CIO for Al Boenker Ins. Darrin and Michelle have three teenage sons who were home schooled until 8th grade and are also musicians.
